Yah, I Know...

As a good friend recently stated to me in an email, "I get an F for keeping up." I really have no excuse. Just an apology for anyone who checks back in waiting for a sign of life. Rather than dwell on it, here's the latest. (A year? Really??)

Joel made Travel Baseball recently so our lives are about to change drastically. Like no weekends and no money... He's in fall ball right now, so Sunday afternoons are spent at the ball field.  Hanna's getting ready to start up with fall gymnastics again, so she's excited. They are both enjoying school and doing well. I am being used and abused at school more so this year than before, teaching 2 classes at the 8th Grade Academy in addition to my regular schedule at the middle school. My day is even more divided between buildings and I don't enjoy it. My 2 general music classes are full of "plop and drops" that REEEALLY don't want to be there. There are just no other options for them since they cut Visual Art and FACS. But I do enjoy most of my kids and the choirs are doing well - just a TON of kids in each class!

Andy stays busy at the restaurant and is enjoying it well enough. He often receives tips and accolades from the regulars who adore his cooking!

In April, a very loving cat came around and stayed with us. We believe Whiskers was a dump (as often happens in our area). She was immediately snuggly and loving to us and the kids and we started feeding her - as you can guess, we are now committed. In a  neighborhood of cat "dumps", it didn't take long for her to find a neighbor friend and she ended up prego before we could get her to the vet. Now we have 3 really cute kittens. Of course Whiskers had them the very first day we were all gone for the entire day so we could not monitor her and she was stuck outside the garage. She did great and the "kids" are now growing like weeds at 4 1/2 weeks old. So the whole reason I have jumped back on this long-lost blog is to post a video for mom so she can see Tiger, Peaches, and Binkley in action! Enjoy...and don't start thinking I'm going to be blogging regularly! Let's be realistic here...
