I Think I Can, I Think I Can...!

Alas, the end is near! Only 3 days left next week (including Field Day, which I get to DJ)! I'm sure looking forward to some time at home w/ the kids...time also to do work on some pet projects. The weather may not cooperate w/ Memorial Day weekend plans, but I've got plenty to catch up on in the house if needed. Hanna looks a bit crazed here (not unlike the way I FEEL!), but actually, Andy just took out her pigtails! I would say more, but all I've got right now is that 80's song: "The Final Countdown" buzzing through my head! WHEW!!!!!

Busy Spring!

May is always a busy time for me at school. The latest venture was the 4th grade choir spring concert. We all had a blast, as this concert is typically made up of the "fun" songs w/ lots of choreography. We did a song from "High School Musical", "Spongebob SquarePants", a classic TV medley, and lots more. I snapped a quick pic at the end of the kids hamming it up. This morning, we had the annual choir breakfast. The kids were wound up (par for the course at MVE this time of year!), but we had fun. Now, can I make it 11 more days???

We enjoyed Mother's Day at Andy's folks, where Andy fixed us a yummy meal. The kids got some play time at the park...Hanna took a spill on the playground and got a nice "strawberry" on her chin. (That's what I get for putting her in a dress!) She got over it fast, but is now stuck w/ a huge scab! It's going to be a "scrapes and scratches" kind of summer!

Learning Some Words

I'm sitting here with Hanna on my lap and she's just dying to help me type! Funny-I was just about to tell of her beginning words! She sure knows how to get what she wants (or tries to!) by whining, shrieking, or grabbing, but now she's figuring out words like "thank-you", "mine" and "brother". She's become quite a parrot, too, mimicking everything Joel does. Like two peas in a pod...
